MAGISTRATES' COURT

All criminal cases start in the Magistrates’ Court and more than ninety percent conclude there. Our solicitors are all experienced advocates, whether conducting a bail application or a plea in mitigation.

Sonn Macmillan Walker has a team of specialist trial advocates and we appear daily in all central London Magistrates' Courts. We also undertake cases in other parts of the country.

Prosecutions for driving offences account for a large proportion of cases that are processed by Magistrates' Courts. Defendants are often anxious to fight driving prosecutions as their livelihood may depend on retaining a licence. Sonn Macmillan Walker is an acknowledged expert in conducting such cases.

If you face proceedings before a Magistrates' Court we strongly recommend that you consider appointing a solicitor.
