HISTORYhome > about > history In 1992, David Sonn founded D J Sonn & Co, a firm focused on criminal law. Euan Macmillan who was also a criminal law specialist, joined David in 1994 and became a partner in 1996. Soon after, the partnership became known as Sonn Macmillan and moved from Islington to the City of London. Tim Walker merged his practice with Sonn Macmillan in 2006, bringing expertise in defending animal rights activists and other protestors. More recently, the entire criminal department of Dowse & Co joined Sonn Macmillan Walker in 2008. The firm is now one of the largest specialist criminal defence practices in London. Sonn Macmillan Walker has solicitors at all central London Magistrates' Courts on a daily basis.
