Jon Steingold

Biography:

Originally from Glasgow, Jon trained at one of London’s busiest criminal defence practices. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1981. He was senior partner in the criminal department at Dowse & Co in Hackney until that firm’s criminal department joined Sonn Macmillan Walker in 2008.

Jon is an experienced practitioner in the police station and the magistrates’ court, specialising in defending clients charged with the more serious offences. Notably, Jon has defended three of the most high profile serial killers in the last 25 years.

Jon is also a solicitor advocate and regularly appears in the Crown Court, defending clients in relation to a wide range of offences.
