Daisy joined Sonn Macmillan Walker in July 2018 as a Paralegal. She assists Claudia Barker, a senior Crown Court litigator, who represents those accused of serious criminal offences.
She graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Classics from the University of Manchester in 2016, winning two academic achievement prizes. After a year travelling and working, she then went on to complete her Masters in Law at the University of Law in 2018, obtaining a Distinction. Whilst studying for her Masters, Daisy volunteered in a Legal Aid clinic and with the National Centre for Domestic Violence. She also ran a debating club in an inner-city London school.
Since joining Sonn Macmillan Walker, Daisy has worked on a variety of cases in the Crown Court for both publicly and privately funded clients, including murder and serious money laundering offences. Daisy is highly motivated, shows great initiative and can grasp technical legal argument without difficulty. Daisy has excellent client care skills and treats each client with respect and patience whilst paying close attention to detail.
Daisy will commence pupillage at Foundry Chambers in October 2020.
