Marlon joined Sonn Macmillan Walker in April 2021. He is a solicitor advocate who specialises in serious and complex criminal cases, notably fraud, money laundering, large drug conspiracies and murder.
After qualifying in 2007, Marlon began his career representing clients in the Magistrates’ Court. He subsequently gained his higher rights qualification and began working in the Crown Court, developing his advocacy before juries and appearing before the Court of Appeal. He gained police station accreditation and uses his trial experience in the representation of clients at this first and potentially last stage of proceedings.
He now specialises in high profile criminal cases, appearing before juries at courts across London including the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) in lengthy and complex trials. These cases necessitate extensive and detailed preparation, often involving hundreds of thousands of pages and complicated expert evidence. Marlon is currently representing a foreign defendant alleged to be involved in one of the largest ever conspiracies to import class A drugs prosecuted in the UK.
Since joining Sonn Macmillan Walker, Marlon is developing his extradition practice and brings his criminal experience to this challenging and fraught area of law. Key to all his work is building strong relationships with his clients to ensure they are supported throughout their case. He brings his understanding and insight to all his cases to achieve the very best possible outcomes.
