Oliver qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and has worked at a number of criminal practices in London, most recently as a partner at a large specialist defence practice.
He has brought his experience and knowledge to Sonn Macmillan Walker and is a highly experienced solicitor and magistrates’ court and crown court advocate, acting in numerous serious and complex cases including allegations of murder, rape and other sexual offences and fraud. He has supervised teams of lawyers on large scale complex matters.
He has lectured in criminal law at the University of East London and has written on legal issues for the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association magazine and Justice Gap website.
Oliver has spent his career fighting for his clients, often the most vulnerable people in society. He is a dedicated and successful defence lawyer and demonstrates his commitment to society in his role as a local counsellor.
