Section 172 appeal succeeds at the Crown Court
Sonn Macmillan Walker represented H at Chester Crown Court on his appeal against conviction for having failed to identify the driver of a Bentley that had been provided to him as a courtesy vehicle.
The driver of the Bentley had been involved in an alleged offence of careless driving. The prosecution were persuaded not to oppose the appeal after our advocate persuaded them that the request to identify the driver had not be served in accordance with the legislation as it had not been served on H’s last known address, even though the request had been sent to an address that the driver of the Bentley had provided to the police.
The appeal was conducted by David Sonn, who appeared as advocate at the appeal.
