Leah Connolly Maintains Leading Associate Ranking in Legal 500 UK 2026

02 October 2025

We are pleased to announce that Leah Connolly has again been recognised as a Leading Associate in the Legal 500 UK 2026 guide in the Crime: General practice area in London. This continued recognition reflects Leah’s growing reputation and sustained excellence in representing young and vulnerable clients in criminal proceedings.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2012, Leah has specialised in defending children and young people at all stages of the criminal justice process—from police interviews through to the courts. She has developed substantial expertise in handling a broad variety of cases, including serious matters such as sexual offences, murder, and joint enterprise cases, as well as lower‑level public order, theft and assault matters.

Leah is deeply committed to ensuring continuity of representation, developing trust with her clients, and tailoring her approach when working with young people, especially those who are vulnerable. Her understanding of youth justice law, combined with her ability to work closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, families, and other support networks, allows her to guide young clients and their families through complex issues with clarity and care.

She is also a co‑founder of the Youth Practitioners’ Association (YPA), which seeks to improve representation and practice around youth in the criminal justice system. Her leadership in this sphere, and her strong track record of high‑stakes courtroom work, have both contributed to her continued recognition in Legal 500.

Congratulations, Leah, on maintaining your Leading Associate ranking. This is a well‑deserved acknowledgement of your expertise, perseverance, and dedication to young clients in the justice system.
