Lorena Lowen
Lorena qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and has worked exclusively in criminal defence since then. This has enabled her to develop an in-depth knowledge of criminal investigations, litigation and practice. She joined Sonn Macmillan Walker in March 2016 to work predominantly in the crown court department.
Lorena specialises in crown court litigation. She has extensive experience of advising clients on complex issues of criminal law and investigation. She has had conduct of many cases of the most serious nature including conspiracies to murder, child cruelty, drug offences and public order offences. She has dealt with complex fraud allegations involving complicated and voluminous evidence and has amassed a considerable amount of experience defending in all types of sexual allegation.
She is a committed and highly effective solicitor with experience across the full spectrum of criminal offences. She is equally comfortable defending sensitive sexual allegations as complex fraud cases or offences of alleged violence. She combines a technical approach with a high level of client care. Clients warm to her down-to-earth and practical approach and she is known for showing particular sensitivity when dealing with youths, vulnerable defendants and clients with mental health difficulties.
