Katie Lobo
Katie joined Sonn Macmillan in May 2023, and in September 2023 began her training contract.
Prior to joining the firm Katie had undertaken paralegal work at another leading criminal defence firm and gained experience across a broad spectrum of cases including very high costs cases and inquests.
Katie currently works under the supervision of Leah Connolly in the Youth Court department, and Amy Cox, undertaking Crown Court litigation work. She also conducts POCA work and private instructions in civil proceedings, such as challenging Account Freezing Orders.
She is a Police Station Accredited Representative, representing clients in all matters in police stations across London.
Katie completed her law degree at Birmingham City University in 2019 and went on to complete a Masters’ specialising in criminal law the following year at the University of Law.
She has gained experience working on cases involving various offences including homicide, serious violence, sexual offences, and large-scale drug conspiracies including complex Encrochat matters.
Katie is professional yet friendly in her nature and forms fantastic relationships with both clients and counsel. Her hard work and commitment are evident and she offers support and clarity to clients when advising about their cases.
Katie is already building herself a great reputation for her detailed work and going the extra mile for her clients.
