Sophie joined SMW in September 2024. She assists David Sonn on a variety of criminal defence matters.
Sophie holds a BA in Theology and Religion from the University of Oxford. She graduated with distinction the Graduate Diploma in Law and completed the Bar Course in 2023, for which she was awarded a Major Scholarship from Inner Temple.
Lucie joined SMW in January 2025. She assists the Police Station Team.
Lucie graduated with a BA in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Leeds in 2023. She has recently completed the Masters Law Conversion at the University of Law.
Tom joined SMW in June 2025. He assists the Crown Court Team.
Tom graduated with a first-class degree in History and Philosophy from the University of St Andrews in 2024. Tom recently completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Law at BPP University in 2025.
Jade joined SMW in July 2025. She assists the Police Station Team.
Jade graduated with a law degree from the University of Birmingham in 2024. Before joining SMW, she gained experience at a multi-practice law firm in South East London, primarily supporting their criminal defence team.
Luke graduated with a BA in Geography from University of Oxford in 2017. Before joining SMW, Luke completed the Legal Practice Course at University of Westminster and subsequently went on to complete a Legal Studies LLM at the University of Bologna in Italy. Luke is also a fully accredited police station representative.
Luke has worked previously as a bilingual legal assistant at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, an administrative officer at the Central London Employment Tribunal, and as a paralegal at another criminal defense firm in London.
Elif joined SMW in October 2025. She assists David Bloom in the Financial Crime Department.
Elif has completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and a Master’s in Law and brings experience working on serious and complex financial crime, gained through roles at the Financial Crime Agency (FCA), the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), and in private practice.
